Smith & Company Papers, as processed, has been divided into the following five series consisting entirely of correspondences: New Orleans Correspondence, New York Correspondence, Philadelphia Correspondence, Providence Correspondence, and Correspondence Related to the T. Smith and Co. Collection. All folders and contents are arranged chronologically. Furthermore, the number of letters were counted instead of leaves.
