We are excited to provide our entire Austin College community FREE online access to The New York Times through the NYTimes.com Group Pass. The Group Pass may be utilized by all students, faculty, and staff to effectively gain a digital subscription to The New York Times!
This service gives students, faculty, and staff full access to NYTimes.com and the NYTimes mobile apps, as well as their international editions. Users will find a variety of topics covered with unsurpassed quality and depth through breaking news articles, blogs, videos and interactive features. Convenient section lists and search tools make navigation simple.
In addition, users can discover and share content on social networks, save articles, subscribe to email newsletters of areas of interest and receive news alerts, either on predefined topics or through a keyword search the user designates.
Please follow the steps below to activate your Group Pass to NYTimes.com. Contact Andrew Smith with any questions or if you experience any problems activating your pass.
On Campus Directions
Ensure you are connected to the AC network, and visit this page. Once you reach the 'Welcome to the New York Times' screen, click 'Create Account' to begin. Then, proceed with steps 1-5 below.
Off Campus Directions
Visit this page, and follow the prompts to log in with your Austin College network ID and password (the same credentials you use for your email and workstation logins). Once you reach the 'Welcome to the New York Times' screen, click 'Create Account' to begin. (Note: pass activation may not function correctly if you are using a VPN.) Then, proceed with steps 1-5 below.
