Discovering Library Resources

This interactive tutorial will walk you through the basics of searching for books in the library catalog (WorldCat Discovery), and searching for articles in a library database (Academic Search Complete).

NOTE: There are two components to the tutorial: the tutorial itself, and an accompanying quiz linked at the end of the tutorial. If your professor has assigned this for your class, please be sure to go through the entire tutorial AND take the subsequent quiz. You must complete and submit the quiz component in order to receive credit.

Time to complete: 15-20 minutes


Evaluating Library Sources

This interactive tutorial will take you a step further in exploring and distinguishing articles from different source types (scholarly/peer-reviewed journals, popular magazines & newspapers, etc.) and determining their information utility.
