Finding Aid: Texas Presbyterian College Papers

Scope and Contents of the Papers

The Texas Presbyterian College papers (1900- 1958) include the official records of the Presbyterian Synod’s college for women, once located in Milford, Ellis County, Texas. The collection contains correspondence, minutes, administrative records, financial documents, and printed materials that document the founding, operation, and eventual closure of the college, along with materials pertaining to the continuing activities of its alumnae association. Lacking an original order, the documents were arranged by standard archival conventions. The collection is arranged alphabetically by series, subseries, and sub-subseries. The contents of each folder are arranged chronologically.
