Language & Literature Resources on JSTORJSTOR is an archive of journals, some dating from the early 1800's. Current issues to the journals are not available through JSTOR ; its role is an archive, though each year it does add holdings to its database. One of the key features of JSTOR is that it provides exact replicas of the original journals' pages and does so because the archive is of scanned images. Image files do not behave the way text files do -- one can't "cut and paste" from an image as you would with text -- and printing tends to take longer.
