Streaming Video

NEW RESOURCE! We are excited to offer the Austin College community access to the Kanopy streaming video platform for the 2025-26 academic year! This popular resource provides access to over 34,000 videos, including full-length films, documentaries, and television series. Highlighted titles include classic Hollywood, foreign language cinema, Criterion Collection, MUBI, Shudder, HBO Documentaries, art house and cult favorites, among many others.

Additionally, we have Alexander Street's Academic Video Online (AVON) platform which provides access to about 90,000 videos. Beyond full-length domestic and international films, this resource also contains documentaries, news segments, ethnographies, performances, and more, from providers such as PBS, BBC, and CNN. Also included is the Counseling & Therapy in Video collection. 

Each platform is multidisciplinary, offering a wide array of subject and content coverage. Both platforms are linked on our A-Z Databases page, and titles from each platform may also be found when searching in our catalog, WorldCat Discovery. Streaming video resources are likewise available for both on- and off-campus use.
